1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply to anyone who lists domain names for sale on Brandsiro (a seller). They sit alongside the terms of service, which apply to everyone. If the two disagree about selling, these terms win.
2. What you promise
When you add a domain you confirm that:
- you own the domain, or have the right to sell it, and you can transfer it to the buyer;
- the name does not infringe a trademark or another person's rights;
- the details you give, including your name, email and payout details, are true and kept up to date;
- you will not list the same name somewhere else in a way that lets it be sold twice.
3. Proving you own a domain
Every listing must be verified with a DNS TXT record that we ask you to add. We look for it when you press Check now, and again about once a week while the domain is for sale. If the record cannot be found on two checks in a row, the domain is taken off sale until you add it again. You may remove the record only after a sale is complete.
4. Review before a domain goes live
Our team reviews every domain before it goes on sale, and may refuse or remove any listing. We tell you why. We need a confirmed email address to approve your domains.
5. Our commission
Brandsiro keeps a fixed commission of 10% of the sale price on every sale, whatever the name, extension or price. There are no listing fees. The commission is recorded on each sale when it is made, so a later change never affects a sale that has already happened.
6. Offers and prices
You choose, for each domain, whether buyers can buy now, make an offer, or both. A price you set is a price you will honour. An accepted offer, or a counter offer a buyer accepts, is a binding sale at that price. Offers lapse after 7 days. A link to pay an accepted offer lasts 48 hours.
7. Transferring the domain
When a buyer pays, Brandsiro holds the money. The buyer tells you where to send the domain (their registrar, account, and push or transfer code). You move it, press Start transfer, and the buyer confirms when it arrives.
You must start the transfer within 3 days of the sale. If you do not, the order is cancelled automatically, the buyer is refunded, the domain stays with you, and repeated failures can lead to suspension. If the buyer does not confirm or report a problem within 3 days of you starting, the domain counts as delivered and your payout follows.
If a transfer cannot be completed for any other reason, the buyer is refunded and the sale is cancelled.
8. Getting paid
After the buyer confirms, your share (90% of the price) is held for a short period, set by us and shown in your panel, to allow for a dispute. It is then paid by the method you saved, bank transfer or PayPal, and we give you the reference. You are responsible for any tax on your income and for the details you give us.
If a sale is refunded or cancelled after you were paid, you agree to return that money to us.
9. Not allowed
You may not list:
- names that copy a trademark or well-known brand to trade on it (cybersquatting);
- domains you do not own, or that are about to expire so they cannot be delivered;
- names meant for fraud, scams, adult content that is illegal where the buyer lives, hate, or anything unlawful;
- domains that are the subject of a legal dispute you have not told us about.
We remove listings that break these rules, and may suspend or close the account and withhold money that is owed to a buyer or in dispute.
10. Keep deals on Brandsiro
Buyers and sellers talk through Brandsiro. Until a sale is paid, you may not share, or ask for, email addresses, phone numbers, messaging accounts or links in offers, messages or descriptions, and we hide the buyer's details from you until they have paid.
You may not use Brandsiro to find a buyer and then complete the sale, or a later sale of the same domain, somewhere else to avoid our commission. Deals made outside Brandsiro are not covered by escrow. If we find that a sale was taken off the site, the 10% commission is still owed, and we may suspend the account and withhold payouts to recover it.
11. Reports and takedowns
Anyone can report a listing from its page. If you think a listing infringes your rights, use that link or contact us with the domain and proof. We review reports and may take a listing down while we do.
12. Closing your account
You can stop selling and remove unsold domains at any time. Sales in progress must be finished first. We keep records of sales and payouts as the law requires.
